Before Jack the Ripper, London belonged to a different kind of monster.

It's October 1837 and a towering, razor-thin silhouette begins terrorising the dark alleys of London. They called him a ghost, a monster, a demon. Witnesses swore he had eyes like glowing balls of fire, hands tipped with metallic claws and even reports of spitting blue fire scolding his victims before leaping away over 10ft fences, earning his name. Spring Heeled Jack.

He became a sensation in Victorian Penny Dreadful's and even was mentioned by the Lord Mayor of London Turning this local phenomenon into a nationwide legend.

Soon rumours spread that this wasn't a ghost at all, but a twisted conspiracy of rich, bored nobility. Twisted alehouse tales and sensationalised news.

But the threat was very real.

The original adapted artwork is a representation in collabation with Connor King Rat of a "Illustrated Police News" Magazine story covering an horrifying attack on February 19, 1838.
When A knock came at the Alsop family door. A man claiming to be a police officer shouted, 'We have caught Spring-heeled Jack here in the lane! Bring a light!' Jane Alsop handed the figure a candle. The moment she did, he threw off his cloak, revealed his hideous face, and clawed at her clothes and skin right in the doorway." While her family screamed for help.
Bloodied and traumatized Jane was left for dead whilst Jack vanished into the night, cementing his place in dark history.
